Lame Deer OPA have new phone number
Clients served by the Lame Deer Public Assistance Office can now access services through the Public Assistance Customer Service Helpline at 1-888-706-1535.
The new number became available to area clients this month and offers callers a menu of services including program information about or applications for Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
For those residents who receive public assistance benefits, the toll free number 1-888-706-1535, connects to case workers who will answer program related questions, process redeterminations, or assist callers with reporting changes, e.g. new address, income change, etc.
“This is an exciting addition to the services we offer Montanans,” said Richard Opper, Director of the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). “The Helpline is a key tool in getting our clients access to the benefits they need in the most efficient manner possible.”
Clients can also apply for benefits online by going to apply.mt.gov. Or, if they prefer in-person assistance, the office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Lame Deer OPA is located at 228 Montana Avenue.
